Welcome to Sol Motus! We are a team of passionate individuals who believe in creating innovative solutions to global problems. Our mission is to bring sustainable and affordable solar energy and transportation to communities around the world, starting with our solar cart.​

Sol Motus was founded in 2023 in the UK by a group of students from the University of Nottingham who were passionate about sustainable energy solutions and addressing the issue of energy poverty in underdeveloped regions. After conducting extensive research and collaborating with experts in the field, we decided to create a solar-powered electric cart that could be used as a versatile solution. By combining transportation and reliable energy in one platform, we created a solution that enabled businesses and communities in off-grid areas to access sustainable power for various applications, from charging devices to running equipment, driving economic growth, and improving livelihoods in underserved regions.

Co-Founder

Our founder, Victor Muller, is a passionate entrepreneur and innovator who founded our organization while studying at the University of Nottingham. With a strong background in engineering and a deep commitment to sustainability, Victor saw an opportunity to create a powerful tool for change in the form of the solar-powered cart. His vision continues to inspire our mission of delivering practical, eco-friendly solutions to off-grid communities worldwide.
Jack Yates
Co-Founder and Product Lead
Our product designer, Jack Yates, is a recent graduate from the University of Nottingham, where he completed a masters degree in mechanical engineering. With a passion for sustainable design and manufacturing, he has been integral in the development of our solar cart, bringing a fresh perspective to the project. He has also gained valuable experience through internships and research opportunities in the field of renewable energy. His innovative and creative approach to problem-solving has been instrumental in the success of the project.
